In New Zealand, Prime TV had the broadcast rights to show the Rugby World Cup final, live on their free to air channel. And because the games were being hosted in the UK, for most New Zealanders it meant they'd be watching the game back home on TV. With most sport consumed via pay channels, being able to watch for free meant the entire nation could watch together.
